Fall 2026 Fish Release at Singing Bird Pond
On a crisp morning in early October, FLOW board member Dave Marshall, a retired Water Quality Biologist for WDNR, backed his truck onto a primitive ramp at Singing Bird Pond, a backwater slough of the Wisconsin River. A few other board members piled out of another vehicle and gathered around the bed of Dave’s truck to get a glimpse of some tiny fish with a big story.

Purple Loosestrife Removal Recon
Purple loosestrife may be pretty, but don’t be fooled—it’s a big problem for our riverway! This non-native plant forms thick, crowded stands that choke out native species, drastically reducing biodiversity along the Lower Wisconsin Riverway. As funny as it might sound, this means FLOW is on a mission to eradicate it from our riverway wherever possible.
